assistance programs and is the pioneer and worldwide leader of fully
integrated EAP,
behavioral health, wellness, work-life, HR, FMLA and absence management
services under its GuidanceResources® brand.

Do you think that technology (smartphones, social media, etc.) has
resulted in people feeling more isolated?

  • Yes, it keeps people from being present and having live interactions
    with others – 57%
  • Somewhat, it can be a distraction from live interactions with others –
    38%
  • No, it does not detract from human interaction – 3%
  • I don't know – 2%

"As the largest employee assistance provider, ComPsych offers
computer-based cognitive behavioral therapy (CCBT) to those who prefer
it, but we recognize that it's not a replacement for in-person
counseling and the need for personal connection, especially in light of
the loneliness epidemic," said Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz, Founder,
Chairman and CEO of ComPsych. "It's important for behavioral health
providers to offer the full spectrum of treatment modalities and to
still encourage face-to-face interaction to address mental health
issues."
