Group's Work in Basketball

Industry-leading sports marketing, events and public relations agency
KemperLesnik and GumGum Sports today announced a multi-year agreement to
provide media valuation of the Maui Jim Maui Invitational (November
19-21, 2018). GumGum Sports will apply its patented computer-vision
capabilities to measure media value for the tournament's sponsors across
multiple platforms, including linear television, streaming and social
media. KemperLesnik has operated the Maui Jim Maui Invitational since

"We are excited to partner with GumGum Sports for the 2018 Maui Jim Maui
Invitational," said Tom Valdiserri, executive vice president at
KemperLesnik, which operates the Tournament. "The company's innovative
methodology will help us further tell the story of the Tournament. With
a deep basketball background, our collaboration with GumGum Sports is a
very natural one, and we look forward to the great insights."

GumGum Sports has worked extensively in the basketball space, counting a
number of NBA teams among its clients, understanding the areas of
in-arena signage: courtside, player tunnel, bench kick-plates, basket
stanchion. According to GM Brian Kim, the company also provides media
valuation services across the NFL, NHL, MLB, MLS, EPL, MMA as well as
Stadium, a new, multi-platform sports network. Using advanced computer
vision technology – not just logo detection – GumGum Sports scans both
owned and non-owned accounts through the long tail of social media and
provides social media valuation metrics.

About the Maui Jim Maui Invitational

In December 1982, then No. 1-ranked Virginia, led by National College
Player of the Year Ralph Sampson, played little-known NAIA Chaminade
University in Honolulu while on the way back from a trip to Tokyo. The
Silverswords stunned Virginia 77-72 in one of the greatest upsets in
college basketball history. Two years later in 1984, Chaminade
University hosted the first Maui Invitational, which has since been
proven to be the premier early-season college basketball tournament for
34 years running. Each year, the Maui Jim Maui Invitational attracts the
top programs, best-known coaches and most outstanding players to compete
in an exciting atmosphere at the Lahaina Civic Center near the beautiful
beaches of Maui.
