"Chipotle has a saying, 'Guac is Extra' and we couldn't agree more. Guacamole, made with Avocados From Mexico, is unlike any other and has a special way of bringing friends and family together, no matter the occasion. It's safe to say, guacamole creates a feeling that is definitely extra," said Alvaro Luque, President, Avocados From Mexico. "When our friends at Chipotle said they wanted to offer guacamole on National Avocado Day for free, we said, 'now that's extra!'"

Guacamole fans can redeem the offer in the Chipotle mobile app or at chipotle.com. After selecting an entrée, customers can choose to add guac as an add-on, a side item or as a regular order of chips and guac. To finalize the order before checkout, customers should enter the coupon code AVOCADO. The offer is not valid for in-store purchases, has a limit of one free item per customer, and may not be combined with other coupons, promotions or special offers. Additional terms may apply; void where prohibited.

To help spread the word, and to alert fans all across the country that Chipotle is offering free guacamole on National Avocado Day, Avocados From Mexico will be activating its network of 100K+ social media brand ambassadors.

"Our fresh, homemade guacamole has a massive fan following – thanks in large part to the delicious avocados from Mexico we use to make it," said Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer at Chipotle. "We want to show our love for the avocado and reward our customers' guac obsession, and Avocados from Mexico is helping us make that possible. Plus, it's a major bonus that you can skip the line when you order ahead with our app or at chipotle.com."
