Following the acquisition of Austin-based Experiment Engine in 2017, Optimizely began establishing a presence in the city. Post-acquisition, Optimizely launched Program Management, a suite of capabilities for large enterprises to manage, scale and report on their experimentation programs. In the first six months following the launch, Optimizely has grown its usage by 10x with over 1,800 users, including the BBC, HP and Austin-based company uShip. Optimizely's adoption of Program Management has doubled every quarter since launch and shows no signs of slowing. With this expansion, Optimizely can better serve its customers in Texas and across the country as more businesses embrace experimentation to stay ahead of rising customer expectations.

"Having been involved with the Austin technology scene over the last 15 years, I know first hand how vibrant this city is and believe it's the perfect place for Optimizely's expansion," said Claire Vo, VP of Product Management at Optimizely. "It was important to continue to invest in the Austin community and the people who were originally involved in what is now Optimizely Program Management. This new product is a huge differentiator in the market, providing customers with a solution they were missing in their experience optimization platform."

Just last year, Optimizely opened its APAC headquarters with an office in Sydney to keep pace with its growing customer base in the region. With over 500bn impressions powered by Optimizely platform, the company is dedicated to growing its team of engineers to accelerate its position and market share. Starting immediately, the company plans to add multiple key engineering roles in Austin, in addition to its growing team in San Francisco.

"Optimizely is delighted to join the booming Texas technology community with our new office in the heart of downtown Austin," said Bill Press, SVP of Engineering at Optimizely. "With many key product differentiators in the market, we are continually looking to stay ahead of the competition and to do this we need to find the best developers and engineers. Austin has established itself as having a deep pool of talented tech professionals and we're excited to begin recruiting in this area, especially in engineering."
