STAMFORD, Conn., July 27, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Automation experts from Information Services Group (ISG) (NASDAQ:III), a leading global technology research and advisory firm, will discuss the keys to automation success in a series of presentations at Intelligent Automation Week, July 30 to August 2 at the Chicago Marriott Downtown Magnificent Mile.

ISG is sponsoring the event and will deliver multiple in-depth talks on virtually every aspect of automation, starting with a July 30 pre-conference workshop, "Ready, Set, Go! Effective IA Proof of Concepts (PoC) Sooner vs. Later," hosted by ISG partners Scott Furlong and Dennis Conley.

"With the right approach, developing an effective IA proof of concept isn't as painful as it may seem," Furlong said. "ISG research has shown business interest in intelligent automation is high, but there's a gap between expectation and understanding. Leaders on the front lines must be able to clearly and efficiently develop, communicate and implement automation plans before they can deliver on the promised business value."

On the first day of the main conference, Tuesday, July 31, ISG will host:

  • "Making Sense of a New IA Work Environment," a panel discussion moderated by ISG with executive participation from Abbott, focusing on how enterprises can empower their workforces with training and tools to leverage IA technologies;
  • A Fireside Chat, "Best in Class Intelligent Automation Centers of Excellence," with executives from Fannie Mae and Manulife, focusing on how to align automation programs with business goals and manage change;
  • "Obtain Powerful Data Analytics Through IA Technologies and Boost Your Business Intelligence," a Fireside Chat with leaders from AIG and Barclays on how AI can optimize back-office, customer-facing transactional processes and customer delivery;
  • And, "When to Kill a Bot and Why Would You?" with Koch Business Solutions, on how to manage automation in an IT infrastructure environment.

On Wednesday, August 1, ISG will host a panel discussion, "When Your Bots Get Sick – How to Manage Program Delivery Expectations and Get Out of the Weeds," on how to diagnose and resolve automation problems, with executives from Walgreens, The Coca-Cola Company, ConAgra Foods and The RPA Academy.

Also on August 1, ISG will host a case study discussion with Aptiv, a Dublin, Ireland-based automotive parts company, on automating administrative functions, as well as a roundtable discussion, "IA Multivendor Sourcing and Technological Integration," with Pfizer and AbbVie, Inc.

During the two-day exhibition portion of the conference, ISG will address hot topics in automation in presentations at the ISG booth (number 307):

  • On Tuesday, July 31, experts will present "Intelligent Automation Myths Debunked" at 1:55 p.m., and "Recombinant DNA of Emerging Technologies" at 4:30 p.m.
  • On Wednesday, Aug 1, ISG will offer advice on two pressing questions, "The Bots Are Ready – Are You?" at 10:30 a.m., and "Why Do We Still Need Humans?" at 3:45 p.m.

"Many companies are assessing the need for automation and beginning the process," said Conley. "But to become truly digital companies, enterprises need a digital platform with a framework that allows them to scale – and to coordinate automation initiatives across an international or possibly even global footprint. Our program at Intelligent Automation Week is designed to address every aspect of the automation process."

In addition to sponsoring and speaking at Intelligent Automation Week, ISG will host the ISG Automation Summit, September 12-13 in London, the second of two ISG Automation Summit events this year; the first sold-out event was held July 18-19 in New York City. ISG also will host an ISG Smartalks™ webinar, "Accelerated Bot Building – New Techniques for Meeting Your Q4 RPA Goals," on Thursday, September 20, at 1 p.m., U.S. Eastern Time. Participants may register here.
