Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Lightning Team Up to Beat the Heat

Free event encourages families and children to cool off, be active and learn how to ice skate.

WESLEY CHAPEL, Fla., July 27, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Florida Hospital and the Tampa Bay Lightning are partnering for the 2nd Annual 'Beat the Heat' at Florida Hospital Center Ice, 9:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 29, 2018. The event is located at 3173 Cypress Ridge Blvd., Wesley Chapel, FL 33544 and is free and open to the public. 'Beat the Heat' is a fun-filled day of interactive games, free giveaways, the sport of curling and free ice skating for all skill levels who are looking to cool off and get some much-needed relief from the summer heat. The event will feature appearances from the official Lightning mascot, ThunderBug and Lightning alumni.

In addition to traditional on-ice hockey activities, attendees will have the opportunity to participate in high performance skills training demos and stickhandling drills.
