BELLEVUE, Wash., July 19, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- This week, Native American entrepreneurs Gary and Carmen Davis, who are well known entities throughout Indian Country as a result of multiple successful business enterprises, launched Native Business™ - a new multimedia venture aimed at helping Native business leaders by spotlighting innovation, inspiring change agents, and sparking creativity for other Native and Indigenous entrepreneurs. For nearly a decade, Gary Davis has led national Native business organizations focused on economic development initiatives to create opportunities in Indian Country.

Native Business Magazine will report across more than two dozen business sectors in Indian Country via its website,, a monthly print publication slated to debut in November, social media platforms, online videos, events, podcast, and an e-newsletter. The first Native Business Summit event is already scheduled for May 13-15, 2019 at the Hard Rock Casino in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The video series, which will be produced and released each week, is a wrap of the latest news, titled "This Week in Native Business." The Native Business Podcast will feature news and interviews with business thought leaders to keep listeners informed on today's unique perspectives on business across Indian Country.

Sectors that Native Business Magazine will cover include energy, gaming, banking/finance and federal contracting, among others. The magazine will also include 16 unique editorial sections such as features, profiles, leadership, and The Future – which will cover rising business leaders from across Indian Country.

"Native Business Magazine will be the trusted resource for everything that happens with economic development in Indian Country," said Gary Davis, Publisher of Native Business Magazine. "It is the go-to source for news about opportunity and innovation in business and enterprise development among our Tribal nations, Native businesses, Alaska Native Corporations, and other entrepreneurs."

Aside from his role as publisher of Native Business Magazine, Gary Davis is best known for his successful film and television career as an actor, including roles in House of Cards, The Indian in the Cupboard, and Mortal Kombat. Davis also has the distinction of being the first Native American rap artist, "Litefoot," where he toured across the United States, performing and speaking to packed crowds. He also has previously served as President and CEO of the National Center for American Indian Enterprise Development (NCAIED).

"Tribal businesses and Native entrepreneurs need partners and allies," added Carmen Davis, Native Business Magazine's Publisher and Executive Editor. "As we build this, we see a need for future generations to have a resource like Native Business Magazine that sustains them. We need to lift each other up, and lift other Native businesses up."

Together, Gary and Carmen Davis have launched multiple successful businesses including Red Vinyl Records, Litefoot Enterprises, Litefoot Entertainment Group, Native Style® Clothing, and Davis Strategy Group.

"As entrepreneurs ourselves, we are also the audience for this," Gary Davis added. "We wanted to create something that will let other entrepreneurs share their knowledge and maintain a finger on the pulse of what is happening in businesses across Indian Country. We want other folks tuned into that pulse as well, so we can all grow together. Our goal is to make every issue of Native Business Magazine a resource that business leaders and entrepreneurs will look forward to, enjoy reading, and find so valuable that they save them to return to later."
