ALP Supply Rejoins AltusGroup as Innovation Partner to Promote Development of Next-Generation Precast Concrete

Share:

Will focus on anchorage and bracketing for ultra-thin precast panels

GREENVILLE, S.C. (PRWEB) July 30, 2018

ALP Supply – a long-time supplier of accessories for the manufacturers of precast concrete products -- has rejoined AltusGroup as an Innovation Partner to lend its expertise and technical support to precaster members.

ALP Supply provides a wide range of technical products through its various operating groups and subsidiaries, bringing valued, innovative and cost-effective products to the precast manufacturing segment.

John Carson, Executive Director for AltusGroup, said "we are pleased to have ALP back into the fold. We anticipate adding other firms that seek new channels for the advancement of precast technology and support our charge of ‘Precast innovation powered by collaboration' that has endured for 15 years now."

ALP Supply's involvement will include partnering with AltusGroup precasters on the development and refinement of proprietary anchorage and bracketing systems for the ARCIS line of precast-prestressed panels for the rainscreen, façade enclosure and decking markets. Utilizing non-corrosive stainless steel cable in a novel manufacturing process, ARCIS technology delivers a versatile, lightweight panel (as low as 9 psf) that offers the strength and aesthetic beauty of precast concrete. ARCIS panels offer exceptional strength, crack control and durability at thicknesses not available with alternative cement-based products such as GFRC and celluosic cement. The ARCIS system is competitive with metal cladding systems, terra cotta, natural stone and many others.

As A.L. Patterson, ALP Supply was one of the original AltusGroup Innovation Partners. Its corporate headquarters in Pennsylvania was made using CarbonCast High Performance Insulated Wall Panels – a signature AltusGroup technology – as they expanded to new facilities. The company has returned to AltusGroup in concert with the continued growth of its business.

The addition of ALP Supply expands AltusGroup's Innovation Partner roster to nine. AltusGroup Innovation Partners work with member precasters to advance breakthrough precast concrete technology. Through AltusGroup, these companies are focusing on innovative ways to improve the performance, connectivity, aesthetics and resiliency of architectural and structural precast concrete components.

With more than 40 years of experience, ALP Supply is the largest single source supplier in North America to precast and prestress producers. The company produces ALP Brand precast concrete accessories including the QUIKLIFT™ Lifting System, Lifting Pin™ Lifting System, Utility Lift™ Lifting System, R-Anchor™ and Coil and Ferrule Inserts. It also supplies products such as rebar and mesh supports, wire ties, chamfer, prestress and post tension mono strand, prestress and post tension anchors, strand chucks, coil rod, nuts and bolts, various fiber reinforcements, and steam curing systems.
