ANN ARBOR, Mich. (PRWEB) July 23, 2018

High performance is the goal of health care professionals in organizations of every size and setting. More than just a catchphrase, high-performing organizations generate better clinical outcomes, improved patient satisfaction, increased reimbursements and revenue, lower costs, and greater employee morale.

But how can you create and sustain a high-performing organization?

On Wednesday, July 25, at 1–5 p.m. ET, NEJM Catalyst and the University of Michigan's Institute for Healthcare Policy and Innovation will host a free, live web event, Essentials of High-Performing Organizations. Three inspiring, interactive discussions will focus on teams, which are the building blocks of high-performing organizations; partnerships that raise the bar within communities and across collaboratives; and mission-driven organizations that overcome resource limitations.

"A high-performing organization is the goal of everyone working in health care," said Stephen Swensen, MD, MMM, FACR, speaker and Medical Director, Professionalism and Peer Support, Intermountain Healthcare. "But what does high performance in health care really entail – excellent outcomes, low costs, outstanding patient satisfaction, all of the above?"

The event will include three separate sessions, with viewers encouraged to submit questions online. The sessions are:

  •     Motivating Teams for High Performance
  •     The Partnership Effect
  •     High Performance Under Constraint
