Friendship Force 2017 Annual Report is Published: More than 3,400 Friendship Force members traveled the world, building bridges of understanding in over 60 countries last year

ATLANTA, July 25, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The 2017 annual report from Atlanta-based Friendship Force International shows that 3,450 FFI members traveled to over 60 countries last year on missions to experience different views and discover common ground – while building bridges of understanding and having a lot of fun along the way.

"We celebrated our 40th anniversary in 2017, and by all measures it was a record year for Friendship Force International," declared Jeremi Snook, CEO and President of FFI. "Importantly, we set the stage for some bold, exciting new directions for our organization that will ensure we continue to make a difference in the world for the next 40 years as new generations of FFI members continue travel with a purpose."

40th Anniversary Campaign Launched

The 40th anniversary campaign will fund the 2018-2021 strategic plan and strategic initiatives, focused exclusively on building for FFI's future. The campaign goals are:

  1. To expand FFI's core mission, engage future leaders and activate a new, socially-responsible travel network
  2. To expand its sphere of influence from 40,000 to 80,000 participants by 2021
  3. Extend the reach of FFI from more than 60 countries to 90 countries
  4. Build friendships where peace and understanding are most needed
  5. To create online member and club profiles to facilitate intercultural communications
  6. Promote marketing and public relations materials for club support and new club development
