Burlywood,
an innovator of flash-based storage for cloud data centers, today
announced that Senior Firmware Architect Chris Bergman has been selected
as a featured presenter on the Flash Controller Design Methods panel at
Flash Memory Summit. Bergman's session takes place August 9 at 2:10 p.m.
in the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, California.

In his role at Burlywood, Bergman focuses on characterizing and
integrating next-generation non-volatile media into the company's
product portfolio. He will share how the use of programmable controllers
can shorten design time, allow for rapid response to updates and
revision cycles, and reduce the risk of starting designs using
pre-production samples as part of his presentation, "Programmable
Storage Controllers Permit Rapid Responses to New Technologies."

"Programmable controllers provide a way for faster development by
enabling changes of parameters and routines within the controller
through software to allow for different and underlying technologies or
characteristics," said Bergman. "This approach is ideally suited to help
solution providers cope with a stream of new variations of non-volatile
memory technologies that are quickly approaching. I look forward to
sharing with attendees at this year's Flash Memory Summit how they can
prepare for this rapid innovation by implementing a modular flash
storage architecture to meet their customer requirements."

Burlywood was a winner at last year's Flash Memory Summit for the Most
Innovative Flash Memory Technology in the controller category for its
TrueFlash™ storage software solution. TrueFlash is optimized to customer
applications, uses flash more efficiently and delivers improved
performance in a more cost-effective manner than current SSDs. TrueFlash
allows for the use of the latest flash technology with better
performance earlier in the lifecycle of flash nodes. Integrated
multi-stream Quality of Service (QoS) provides advanced traffic
management and consistent performance, tuning it to match the exact
needs of customers' environments and workloads.

Burlywood will also be exhibiting in booth #313 with Xilinx and will be
doing a live demo

Flash Memory Summit is the industry's premier showcase for storage
technologies, featuring the most exciting products and offers the
broadest coverage of a rapidly expanding market. The 2017 event drew
more than 6,000 registrants and 120 exhibitors. The conference also
includes annual updates, market research sessions, performance testing
results, an expert table session, and a VC Forum. Additional information

About Burlywood

Powered by a highly productive, expert development team comprised of
executives from companies such as HP, Western Digital, Hitachi, Micron
and Intel, storage software startup Burlywood is accelerating the
transition to the all-flash data center. The company's patented
TrueFlash technology changes how storage works and is delivered by
lowering flash costs, increasing storage density and increasing flash
performance while shortening the time to market. The new flash storage
paradigm is ideally suited for customers in the hyperscale, content
delivery and cloud markets that want to move to all-flash environments
but have found that current SSD offerings are a constraint. Find out
