Sallie Mae (NASDAQ:SLM), the nation's saving, planning, and paying for
college company, and Chegg Inc. (NYSE:CHGG), a leading provider of
digital student services, today introduced a newly enhanced studying and
tutoring benefit to support student success. Study
Starter
is an exclusive benefit that gives students free 24/7 access
to a suite of study support services from the Chegg platform. Sallie Mae
is the first and only private student lender to offer this in-school
benefit to its customers.

Study Starter is now available to all Sallie
Mae undergraduate private student loan
customers and Sallie
Mae Parent Loan
customers with a new loan. For Academic Year
2018-19, the benefit includes:

Four Months of Chegg Study
Connects students with Chegg's Textbook Solutions and Expert Answers
services that offer step-by-step solutions for thousands of the most
popular college textbooks and access to a database of more than 22
million fully-solved study questions. More than 90 percent of students
using Chegg Study say it helped them get their homework done with less
stress.

30 Minutes of Chegg Tutors – Matches
students with online tutors available 24/7 for instant or scheduled
one-on-one help with an academic subject, coursework, or exam prep.
Students receive instruction from tutors via video or text chat while
sharing work on-screen. Eighty-nine percent of students using Chegg
Tutors say it helped them get a better grade on an assignment or exam.

Four Months of EasyBib Plus
Unlimited access to a web-based bibliography generator that can create
citations in various style guides; proof papers to prevent unintentional
plagiarism; and a copyediting feature for grammar, spelling, and style
feedback to improve writing skills. Eighty-four percent of students say
EasyBib is the fastest way to make accurate citations.

First launched in 2017, the Study Starter benefit represents a shared
commitment between Sallie Mae and Chegg Inc. to make college happen and
improve student outcomes. The agreement extends through 2021.
