New location includes two prairie homes and engages residents in an active farm environment

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., May 14, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Prairie Elder Care memory care residential homes announces the opening of its newest location, the Prairie Farmstead. Designed to engage, fulfill and brighten lives, Prairie Homes and the Prairie Farmstead deliver a familiar feeling of home for residents with dementia.

The Farmstead includes large vegetable and sensory gardens to connect residents with familiar scents and give them a taste of farm-fresh vegetables. Residents are immersed in the farm environment through hands-on farming workshops and therapeutic connections with small farm animals such as dwarf goats, a mini pig and chickens.
