Carolinas' Biker Lawyers launch digital campaign urging drivers to 'Share the Road' with motorcycles

Most motorcycle wrecks happen because drivers don't see the motorcycle. Do your part to keep our roads safe. Stay alert and aware. There's a life riding on it.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (PRWEB) May 01, 2018

May is Motorcycle Safety Awareness Month and it's time to remind everyone to stay alert and share the road with motorcyclists. Safety is a two-way street and both riders and drivers need to do their part. Because the vast majority of vehicles on the road are not motorcycles, it's quite possible that a 4-wheeled driver has never considered this. That is a problem. In an effort to educate all drivers, Carolinas' Biker Lawyers™ is launching a digital Motorcycle Safety Awareness campaign through the month of May. The ads will encourage drivers to watch out for bikers year-round and offer safety tips for all drivers.

According to an issue statement from NHTSA, "When motorcycles and other vehicles collide, it is usually the other (non-motorcycle) driver who violates the motorcyclist's right-of-way. There is a continuing need to help other motorists ‘think motorcycles' and to educate motorcyclists to be aware of this problem."

Distracted driving has also been on the rise as one of the leading causes of motorcycle accidents. The combination of distracted driving and drivers who don't share the road with motorcyclists leads to dangerous and sometimes deadly results. Motorcyclists are nearly 5 times more likely to be injured and 29 times more likely to be killed in a crash than car or truck occupants.

Bob Karney, owner of Carolinas' Biker Lawyers™, has been representing injured bikers for over 30 years. We understand the obstacles motorcyclists face, both on the road and in the courtroom. From accident through recovery, we've got your back. To learn more, visit and follow us on Facebook.
