Recording features a new foreword written and voiced by Trudeau, available exclusively in the Audible edition

Audible Inc., the world's largest seller and producer of downloadable audiobooks and other spoken-word entertainment, today announced the release of Common Ground, the first audio edition of Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's candid 2014 memoir in both English and French. The Audible book is performed by award-winning stage and screen actor Colm Feore and features a new foreword written and narrated by Trudeau exclusively for Audible. Both Common Ground and Terrain d'entente are available for download on www.audible.ca.

Common Ground details Mr. Trudeau's childhood at 24 Sussex Drive, his McGill days during the tumultuous time of the Charlottetown Accord, his first campaign in Papineau and his role as Liberal leader, capturing the foundational moments that informed his vision for the future of Canada. Prime Minister Trudeau will donate his proceeds from the sale of the audiobook to the Canadian Red Cross.

"It's an honour for me to bring the words and memories of this dynamic young leader to life," said Feore. "There's certainly a degree of coming full circle with this project, having portrayed the Prime Minister's father on film. But he is very much his own man, and it was both challenging and rewarding to give voice to the stories and experiences which have shaped Justin Trudeau into who he is today."

Feore has an extensive history of starring roles at the Stratford Theatre Festival, and is well-known for his many film and television performances. He won a Gemini Award (now Canadian Screen Award) for his performance as Pierre Elliott Trudeau in the TV mini-series Trudeau.

"We are thrilled to offer this incredible performance of Common Ground by Colm Feore, whose rich performance lifts Trudeau's words off the page, immersing listeners in the important experiences that define his leadership today," said Audible EVP and Publisher Beth Anderson. "We are especially pleased to bring the new foreword written and narrated by Mr. Trudeau to the Audible book, for a fresh perspective on his autobiography."

Among the acclaimed performers who have narrated works of literature for Audible are Zachary Quinto, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Lily Collins, Emma Thompson, and Jesse Eisenberg. Audible Studios has won a Grammy Award, for its production of Janis Ian's memoir Society's Child, and has also been recognized with the Audie Award for Audiobook of the Year, for Colin Firth's performance of Graham Greene's The End of the Affair. Audible invented and commercialized the first digital audio player in 1997, and has since been at the forefront of the explosively growing audiobook download segment. In 2017, listeners around the world downloaded over two billion hours of Audible content.
