BOULDER, CO & TORONTO, ON (PRWEB) March 06, 2018

Connexall, the industry leader in alarm management and event notification, ranking number one in the 2018 Best in KLAS awards, and ICU Medical, a worldwide leader in the development, manufacture and sale of innovative medical devices used in infusion therapy and critical care applications, are proud to announce the successful integration of ICU Medical MedNet to the Connexall alarm management and event notification platform. This integration allows hospitals to transmit and selectively filter the secondary alarms from several of ICU Med's infusion pumps.

Clinicians can now prioritize which alarms they wish to have forwarded based upon various parameters they can choose. The core function allows a network based alarm message from an infusion pump to be forwarded to Connexall for intelligent routing based upon a customized workflow. Secondary alerting and distribution will serve to extend clinical awareness, improve response times, and reveal innovative ways to reduce alarm fatigue.

"We are pleased to collaborate with ICU Medical to provide this crucial integration to hospitals." stated David Tavares, CEO of Globestar/Connexall.    "Our customers frequently request delivery of time-sensitive notifications to mobile care givers from their infusion devices. Through this collaboration we are now able to meet that critical need." continued Tavares.

"We are proud to include Connexall as a part of our growing list of connectivity partners. By integrating with alert management software, we can expand the clinician's visibility to infusion delivery, help with response times, and support quiet hospital initiatives,'' said Matthew Hutchings, senior director of ICU Medical IV Informatics. "When combined with the accuracy of data and secondary infusion alarming of the 2018 Best in KLAS Plum 360, we are delivering a winning combination of technologies."
