LOS ANGELES, March 15, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- "There's been too much 'fake news' about Latinos and our community is integral and valuable to the entire country. Latinos positively impact every aspect of American life and it's time more people realized this."
Ana Valdez, executive director, Latino Donor Collaborative.
In 2010 former U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development Secretary Henry Cisneros and communications industry executive Sol Trujillo came together to change the narrative about Latinos and founded the Latino Donor Collaborative. The organization has just launched an unprecedented #FactsMatter, national ad campaign titled "the power of all" to accurately portray Hispanic Americans and their contributions to society and the nation.
The ads highlight facts, such as Latinos:
- Are the fastest-growing portion of our nation's GDP.
- As America's largest, diverse community – and the youngest segment of the U.S. workforce – are funding Social Security's future.
The campaign includes ads in the Wall Street Journal as well as digital outreach during the month of March.
