Libman Becomes Official Floor Care Provider for the Big 10, Big East, Pac-12 and American Athletic Conference Basketball Tournaments

The Libman Company, a 122-year old manufacturer of household and high-power cleaning tools including mops, has expanded its current basketball sports sponsorships to include four upcoming NCAA men's tournaments taking place in March: The Big Ten, Big East, Pac-12 and American Athletic Conferences. In addition to on-court signage, fan engagement and sampling opportunities, all of the sponsorships entail Libman supplying the court mopping crews with Libman branded mops and attire.

Libman is currently the official hardwood floor care provider for the Big Ten Conference, Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and the Arkansas Razorbacks as well as for NBA teams including the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Minnesota Timberwolves and Washington Wizards.

The idea to sponsor basketball teams evolved from the fact that every team – professional and collegiate – has a crew that uses mops to clean the hardwood floor court. "It makes sense for us," said Andrew Libman, president of The Libman Company. "These basketball team sponsorships allow us to demonstrate how great our products work in front of tens of thousands of fans," he said.

For the Big Ten Tournament taking place in New York City on February 28 – March 4 at Madison Square Garden, the conference is teaming up with Libman for several experiential fan engagements in various places across the city, including brining mops to some of the classic pickup basketball courts in the city. A Libman mop will also make its way to some of the most iconic "must see" monuments in New York for photo opportunities that will be shared at the games and through Libman's and the Conference's social media channels.
