Association professionals thirsty for practical knowledge about new technology and data tools are invited to attend the first SmartTech Conference in Chicago on Feb. 1, 2018.

CHICAGO (PRWEB) January 19, 2018

Association professionals thirsty for practical knowledge about leveraging new technology and data curation tools are invited to attend the first Association SmartTech Conference on Feb. 1. This first-time, one-day event, is co-created and co-sponsored by Association Forum, DelCor Technology Solutions and Naylor Association Solutions, and hosted by OLC Education and Conference Center. SmartTech will feature a keynote session and specialized learning tracks from leading technology minds in the association community, representing more than 275 year of experience advancing associations. Participants will return to their organizations with an action plan for keeping their staff and members at the forefront of emerging technology gains.

"The SmartTech Conference is custom-built for association professionals looking to use technology and data more efficiently to increase revenue, drive membership and adapt to today's changing business environment," said Michelle Mason, FASAE, CAE, president and CEO of Association Forum. "Many association professionals have the data they need to drive their organization's success, but lack a roadmap or the knowledge about how to leverage the tech tools that will turn their data into growth," she continued. "SmartTech 2018 will provide that roadmap."

The one-day SmartTech Conference will open with a welcome from Mason and a keynote session, "Technology Trends and the Effects on Associations," about driving association growth through technology and data by Reggie Henry, CAE, chief information and engagement officer of the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE).

Topics to be presented include setting a data strategy, cybersecurity, data analytics and embracing disruptive technology. Throughout the day, attendees will have ample opportunity to connect with fellow association leaders to discuss ideas and hear how their peers are transforming digitally to stay ahead of competition. Association professionals can earn up to 5.5 CAE credits by attending.

Tom Aley, group vice president for software solutions at Naylor Association Solutions, will lead a session about using technology and data to drive increased engagement and revenue. Alex DeBarr, CEO of Naylor, will moderate a panel about association growth through tech mastery and the next steps attendees should take to master new technology at their organizations.

"Naylor is committed to helping associations achieve more growth in all areas of membership and staff development," said Alex DeBarr, CEO of Naylor Association Solutions. "To that end, we are proud to partner with Association Forum and DelCor to create another opportunity for associations to sharpen their data analysis skills and better understand their stakeholders' needs and preferences when it comes to the membership experience."

Similarly, DelCor staff will offer education on IT maturity and digital transformation, both topics at the forefront of association technology strategy and operations. DelCor's founder and CEO, Loretta DeLuca, FASAE, will synthesize the day with closing remarks prior to a networking reception.

"SmartTech aligns with our mission of expanding associations' vision of the possibilities technology offers," said DeLuca. "To craft this event alongside Association Forum and Naylor is to bring together some of the brightest, leading-edge minds in the field. I encourage local association leaders to take advantage of this unique education and networking opportunity—it will prepare you for technological changes that are already happening in the world around you."

Registration is open through Feb. 1. Find more event details at http://www.AssociationForum.org/events/smarttech2018.
