Baycrest mourns the loss of two of its visionary leaders, Barry and Honey Sherman

TORONTO, Dec. 16, 2017 /CNW/ - We at Baycrest are completely shocked and profoundly saddened by the deaths of Barry and Honey Sherman. They were visionary leaders, and their commitment and philanthropy improved the lives of countless Canadians. Barry and Honey generously helped to create the Apotex Centre, Jewish Home for the Aged at Baycrest, envisioning a facility unmatched in its service and excellence. They also recognized that research, education, and innovation are the keys to improving the journey of aging for everyone.

Barry served as a member of the Baycrest Centre Board, and as an honourary member of the Baycrest Foundation Board. Honey's longstanding dedication to Baycrest included actively participating with the Women's Auxiliary, leading many fundraising events, and serving as a member of the Baycrest Campaign Cabinet, and both the Baycrest Centre and Foundation Boards of Directors.

The Shermans' exceptional kindness and generosity helped add life to years for the many people touched by the impact of their contributions.
