San Antonio, TX, Nov. 01, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Sirius Computer Solutions, Inc. (Sirius) announced it has acquired Forsythe Technology, Inc. (Forsythe), a leading enterprise IT solutions provider. The acquisition expands Sirius' solutions and services offerings in security, risk management, and data center transformation.

Founded in 1980, Sirius has grown to be one of the largest solutions integrators in the U.S., with annual gross revenues of approximately $2.2 billion. That growth has been achieved by investing in areas that help it better meet the needs of its clients, and fueled by an M&A strategy focused on building a depth of solutions and services offerings that are most important to the success of its clients. Therefore, it came as little surprise when Sirius announced on October 2 that it had reached a definitive agreement to acquire Skokie, Illinois-based Forsythe in what many industry analysts have called a "blockbuster deal" that would create a "solutions powerhouse."

In an industry where size often equals strength, Forsythe is the seventh company Sirius has acquired since 2014, joining Brightlight Consulting; Varrow, Inc.; Avnet, Inc.'s digital solution services; Force 3; thinkASG; and Continuum Security Solutions. And although they were former competitors, Sirius and Forsythe also share similar corporate cultures, core values, and a passion for excellence. Both companies have been recognized regularly by partners and industry publications, including being ranked #1 and #5 respectively by MSPmentor on its 2017 list of top managed services providers worldwide.

"This is a very exciting time for Sirius and our industry, and we are always looking for new and innovative ways to add value for our clients," said Sirius President and CEO Joe Mertens. "Combining forces with Forsythe provides an excellent growth opportunity for Sirius and its employees, while also helping us expand the depth of our solutions and services offerings for our clients—particularly where their data center and security needs are concerned."

"Sirius and Forsythe have always had a great deal of respect for one another, and we all know that growth is a necessary part of remaining agile in an industry where things are constantly changing," added Forsythe President and CEO Bill Brennan. "Sirius shares our passion for providing innovative solutions that help ensure our clients' success, and I am confident this is the next logical step in our evolution—one that is truly a win-win for both companies, as well as our clients and our partners."

Forsythe will initially operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Sirius. To learn more about Sirius and the acquisition, please visit www.siriuscom.com/Forsythe.
