and the pharmacy industry, celebrated American Pharmacists Month (APhM)
last month with its annual nationwide #ThankAPharmacist and #PTThanksYou
social media campaign. Honoring thousands of pharmacists through its
Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels, Pharmacy Times®
outreach helped to bring broader awareness to the profession and the
role pharmacists play in modern health care.

Sponsored by the American Pharmacists Association, the goal of APhM is
to advocate for the pharmacy profession and generate recognition for
pharmacists among their peers, patients and communities.

Pharmacy Times® Asks Followers
to #ThankAPharmacist

During APhM, Pharmacy Times® asked its
followers to thank, recognize and celebrate pharmacists through social
media with #ThankAPharmacist across all of its social media platforms:
Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram. Pharmacy Times® encouraged
followers to share an experience or photo that highlighted the value of
the pharmacist. Similarly, followers with video submissions were
encouraged to share experiences using #PTthanksYou. By using
#ThankAPharmacist or #PTThanksYou and tagging @Pharmacy_Times, followers
were able to generate awareness and goodwill for their favorite
pharmacists.

Ten Best Posts, Top Three Videos Revealed in Pharmacy Times®

To conclude this annual initiative, Pharmacy Times®' editorial
staff monitored and reviewed #ThankAPharmacist posts and #PTThanksYou
videos during the month of October, curating a selection of the ten best
posts to be featured in its November issue and three best videos to be
featured on PharmacyTimes.com. These top experiences best represent the
value of the pharmacist and can be found in this month's issue.

"The top posts featured in our November issue demonstrate why our U.S.
pharmacists deserve recognition for the efforts they extend daily
managing patient's overall health. Pharmacists are truly patient care
providers and we are proud to thank, honor and celebrate them for their
dedication to their patients," concluded Haug.
