the Nov.15 awards ceremony

The Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA) has named Sleep Number, the
leader of sleep innovation, as a finalist for the 2017 Tekne Awards in
the Internet of Things Award category. The awards ceremony will be held
at the Minneapolis Convention Center on Wednesday, November 15.

The Tekne Awards honors Minnesota companies and individuals who have
shown superior innovation and leadership. The category honors the
development of Internet of Things technology, from the use of sensors to
wearable solutions that add increased efficiency or enhanced value to
customers.

Sleep Number is being recognized for its most advanced innovation to
date – the Sleep Number 360™ smart bed powered by SleepIQ© technology.
The new integrated design includes a proprietary algorithm and machine
learning to intuitively sense and automatically adjust all night for an
effortless and optimized sleep experience. Built on an advanced Internet
of Things architecture, the technology and data gives users knowledge
about how they are sleeping and the power to adjust variables that
impact their sleep.

"Sleep Number is honored to be recognized by the 2017 Tekne Awards for
the Sleep Number 360 smart bed," said Annie Bloomquist, chief product
officer at Sleep Number. "For three decades, Sleep Number has
revolutionized the industry as a pioneer in sleep technology with a
passion for improving lives through better sleep. To be named finalist
for this award reflects our commitment to innovation and developing
life-changing technologies for quality sleep and wellness."

"Each year, MHTA honors the most innovative companies in Minnesota
advancing technology at home and around the globe," said Margaret
Anderson Kelliher, president and CEO of MHTA. "Sleep Number, along with
all of this year's finalists, are impacting the way people live and
work, and the Tekne Awards recognize those achievements."

Presented by the MHTA, the Tekne Awards annually recognize
Minnesota's best and brightest technology users and developers in
innovation, development, education, commercialization and management.
