GAINESVILLE, Fla., and CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Aug. 31, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Applied Genetic Technologies Corporation AGTC, a biotechnology company conducting human clinical trials of adeno-associated virus (AAV)-based gene therapies for the treatment of rare and debilitating diseases, today announced that it will report financial results for the fiscal quarter and year ended June 30, 2017 before the market opens on Wednesday, September 13, 2017. AGTC management will host a conference call beginning at 8:00 am ET that day to review results and provide a corporate update.

AGTC's lead product candidates are designed to treat inherited orphan diseases of the eye, caused by mutations in single genes that significantly affect visual function and currently lack effective medical treatments.
