As its 13th Act of We, the credit union donated $2,324 each
to Appalachian
Trail Conservancy
, Arts
Herndon
, Audubon
Society of Northern Virginia
, Cornerstones,
(all Community Partners of the credit union) and NWFCU
Foundation
(Northwest Federal's charitable arm). The donations
reflect $70 for each member who financed their new home loan through the
credit union from March 1-June 30, 2017.

"We thank our Community Partners for the invaluable work they do in the
community," said Acting President and CEO of Northwest Federal, Jeff
Bentley. "We are honored to have been a part of the Northern Virginia
community for the past 70 years and look forward to additional
opportunities to partner with these organizations in the future."

Northwest Federal also donated $2,002 to Special Olympics Virginia as
its 32nd Act of We, representing $70 for each car loan made
during the month of June.

"The funds [Northwest Federal] raised can support 20 athletes in school
programs (where Special Olympics athletes play as teammates with their
nondisabled peers); 10 athletes at Summer Games (where athlete health
care issues can be addressed); or one athlete at the World Games
representing all of Virginia and revealing the possibilities," said
Executive Director of Special Olympics Virginia, Richard Jeffrey.
"Northwest Federal is making dreams come true!"

Northwest Federal's 70
Acts of We
continue throughout 2017. The program celebrates the
local community, the credit union's members and employees.
