TORONTO, July 18, 2017 /CNW/ -- With the 8th Annual Moores Clothing for Men Canadian Suit Drive in full swing, national television personality Rick Campanelli joins an all-star team that includes Suits star, Patrick J. This year, Campanelli, who as an ET Canada co-host wears a suit to work almost every night, is encouraging Canadians to help Moores continue to add to the nearly 375,000 articles of men's and women's suits, ties, jackets, shirts, pants, belts and shoes it has collected over the past seven years.

"I know firsthand the power of a suit and how it can boost confidence and make a great first impression," said Campanelli. "The Moores Canadian Suit Drive is an easy way for people to do something great. By simply cleaning out their closets, Canadians can make a difference in someone's life and have a very positive effect on helping them to become gainfully employed."

The donations from the Canadian Suit Drive are distributed nationally to nearly 75 local recipient organizations that help disadvantaged men and women aiming to regain employment through job readiness programs, workforce assistance and gifting of professional attire. Recipient organizations include: ROUTES (ON), Mission Old Brewery (QC), Working Gear (BC), The Salvation Army (AB), Global Gathering Place (SK), Opportunities for Employment (MB) and Teamwork Cooperative (NS).

"I'd like to challenge all Raptors fans to make a difference in the month of July…it's something that you would be proud to do," said Raptors Coach Dwane Casey who has donated more than 50 suits to the Suit Drive over the years. "When I grew up, I didn't have a suit to even go to important meetings, so I understand the importance of a suit to help make you feel good and that's what this is all about."

Noted supporters of this year's Canadian Suit Drive also include head coaches from the National Basketball Coaches Association (NBCA) and National Hockey League Coaches Association (NHLCA). A special nod goes to Dwane Casey (Toronto Raptors), Glen Gulutzan (Calgary Flames), Travis Green (Vancouver Canucks) and Guy Boucher (Ottawa Senators) who have committed to supporting the cause by making personal donations.

People who donate their gently worn men's and women's professional clothing at any of the 126 Moores locations nationally throughout the month of July will receive 50 percent off their next purchase of regular priced retail items (excluding shoes, clearance, Exceptional Value items).

To help drive awareness of the Canadian Suit Drive, @MooresClothing is encouraging followers to spread the word by using #SuitDrive. They will be partnering with content creators across the country to share personal donation stories and inspire others to help those in need.
