Groups will work together to highlight information about innovative healthcare startups

Seattle, Washington (PRWEB) May 30, 2017

angelMD and the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP) announced today that they will be working together to highlight information about innovative healthcare startups to continue to improve patient care in emergency medicine. This will culminate in a pitch event held at innovatED during the ACEP 2017 conference, with prizes awarded for best in show.

As the oldest and largest national medical specialty organization, ACEP has over 36,000 members and remains the leading source for continuing education for physicians in emergency medicine. The group also serves as the primary information resource for developments and innovations within the specialty.

"ACEP brings together the leading emergency physicians in America, and we are honored to partner with this great organization to share with their members some of the ground-breaking innovations happening every day in the medical startup community," said Tobin Arthur, founder and chief executive officer of angelMD.

This year-long partnership will also offer ACEP members cutting-edge information via the ACEP newsletters and website to include topics ranging from startup innovation to investing. Moreover, ACEP members will have the opportunity to participate in angelMD-hosted webinars and surveys in the coming year.

"Our membership confronts growing challenges every day. Ensuring our members are informed about the latest industry innovations is key, and angelMD's first-hand knowledge in leading-edge innovation will add value for our members and ultimately the patients they serve," said Robert Heard, MBA, CAE, associate executive director, membership and education of ACEP.
