Sunrise, Florida (PRWEB) May 07, 2017

ZenCrate, the world's first motion-activated, intelligent pet crate specifically designed to reduce anxiety in dogs, is proud to announce a partnership with Doctor Lisa Radosta of Florida Veterinary Behavior Services to begin a series of clinical research studies that aim to determine the effect of ZenCrate's anxiety-reducing abilities when it comes to noise and storm phobia in dogs.

The clinical study is expected to confirm the efficacy of the product which is known to provide a safe place for dogs during anxiety attacks. The ZenCrate uses scientifically-proven strategies including sound therapy and vibration-dampening technology to reduce the anxiety. The stress relieving features also include an orthopedic memory foam bed, motion-activated music with a curated anti-anxiety playlist, sound insulation to reduce anxiety, motion-activated fan for improved ventilation and WiFi enabled to view your pet from smartphones.

"The ZenCrate holds promise as a part of a complete treatment plan for storm and noise aversion and phobias lowering fear, anxiety and stress in dogs afflicted with those disorders," said Dr. Rodosta. "I am excited to be a participant in upcoming research to assess the effect of the ZenCrate on fear, anxiety and stress in dogs afflicted with storm and noise aversions and phobias."

Starting her career in veterinary medicine in 2000 at the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Rodosta went on to complete a residency in Behavioral Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania in 2006 and has owned Florida Veterinary Behavior Service since 2007. Being one of the only 69 board certified veterinary behaviorists in the United States, Dr. Rodosta takes an innovative approach when it comes to her studies and use of medicine and has participated in tracking, obedience, herding and therapy dog work.

ZenCrate was created in 2014 by robotics engineers Jonathan Azevedo and Chris Lightcap as a solution to Azevedo's Yellow Labrador, Charger's, persistent storm phobia and related anxiety. The ZenCrate design was inspired by identifying and combining remedies to address the drivers of animal anxiety including, vibration isolation, noise cancellation, comfort, security, reduced light, and self-administration. ZenCrate fulfilled their Kickstarter campaign in September 2016 and will ship their first ZenCrates in Spring 2017. For more information on ZenCrate, please visit http://www.zendogcrate.com.
