Today, Christ Embassy, also known as the Believers' Love World mega-congregation, has confirmed the international impact of its large-scale biannual Loveworld Festival of Music and Arts (LFMA 2017) which was staged with over 30,000 attendees from around the world in South Africa from Thursday, April 27th to Sunday, April 30th. The event was held in South Africa's biggest custom-built exhibition, conference, convention, and events venue, the Johannesburg Expo Centre (JEC). The start of the 4-day event coincided with the annual Freedom Day public holiday in South Africa.

With its global headquarters in Lagos, Nigeria, and followers in over 100 countries including Nigeria, South Africa, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada, the renowned global music and arts festival was the second edition of the biannual event and a Christ-centred artistic extravaganza of world-class gospel. In addition, a broad selection of gospel-inspired family-friendly events brought attendees together to help unearth, develop, and showcase a multitude of creative talent from music, to performing arts, crafts, and multimedia. The large attendance of young and old was also able to enjoy numerous activities in featured zones including the dedicated sports, youth, kids, seminars, and mega-carnival areas.

"The question is not the limitations around you. The question is not how bad the economy is," expressed, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, President, and Founder, Believers' Love World and Christ Embassy. "The question is what can you see?" The 2017 edition began in one of Johannesburg's best-known landmarks the JEC with a stirring official opening ceremony and speeches where delegates were joined by Christ Embassy dignitaries. Proceedings formally got underway after Reverend Tom Amenkhienan cut the ribbon to a spectacular array of fireworks, confetti, thousands of balloons, and a thunderous roar of anticipation from the crowd.

On Freedom Day, the President, and Founder warmly welcomed everybody who was present at the historic occasion and inspired them all to enjoy blessings of faith, hope, joy, and the opportunities that the 2017 festival presented to them. Backed by 30,000-strong supporters, Pastor Chris led delegates in a session of heartfelt intercession for South Africa by releasing words of restoration, healing, and prosperity for all. Given the global expanse of Christ Embassy, country presentations in music, dance, and poetry were masterfully delivered. In a spirit of knowledge sharing, a full schedule of insightful seminars focused on healthy living, digital art, multimedia, the business of music, filmmaking, and technology.
