Sujata Tibrewala Is Back with Her New Exhibit This Spring Celebrating the Myriad Seasons of Life at LFA, Chicago

Artist Sujata Tibrewala will be a part of a multi artist showcase titled Art: The Language of Healing on from May 13 at Life Force Arts Centre (LFAC)

As the new season springs a new vigor in our lives, eco-feminist artist Sujata Tibrewala thinks the time is just right for new reflections, new resolutions and new synergies to unite with the nature. Ms Tibrewala's works that reflect a deep connection with nature have been chosen to be a part of a prestigious multi-arts exhibition called Art: The Language of Healing. The exhibition that opens on May 13 at Life Force Arts Centre in Chicago will be put up for showcase to public until August 22, 2017. The artist through her works, aims at creating an understanding of the magical ecosystem that, humans have inherited. The paintings try to delve into the roots by appreciating the changing patterns in nature and how they aid in an easy human transition as seasons change.

The theme of the exhibition revolves around exploring how art can play an effective role in healing the frayed nerves and giving a new lease to jaded spirits. Just like the change in weather presents a new topography, a new landscape, new colors, in a similar fashion, every artwork aims to speak and connect to its audience extolling them to perceive an effective and new meaning out of it.

Ms Tibrewala, with her carefully nurtured works hopes to inspire art aficionados and also is eager to learn something new by observing the work of other artists. She feels honored to be a part of this multi artist platform as she thinks it is the most cohesive way of art appreciation and idea exchange.

Exhibited at the event will be Ms Tibrewala's acrylic on canvas work titled, ‘Music Within,' where the artist has brought to life various colors through masterstrokes evoking a sense of various seasonal changes – the spring, the summer followed by fall and winter. She feels the nature sings to those who pay attention in the most lyrical form. It is on the human beings to perceive the changes in the universe to bring a positive change in their lives and also in the lives of others.

She hopes that the multi-arts show will be a resounding medium where each of the participating artists will bring in their own interpretation on how art heals.

About the artist:

Sujata Tibrewala, a self-taught artist come engineer remarkably embodies the indomitable spirit of human existence through her works. Her works revolve around the theme of eco-feminism. She has exhibited her artworks in some of the most reputed venues around the globe such as University of Illinois, Chicago, Raw San Jose, Parallax Art Fair London, the Regional Commission of Arts St Louis, Life Force Arts Chicago, Mindworks Gallery Chesterfield, St. Louis Artists' Guild, Chesterfield Arts, Art World Association, Women's Caucus for the Arts, MySLART and Lalit Kala Academy, Delhi.

She shifted to the USA in 2010 from India and practices her craft and conducts art workshops at Bay Area, CA, where she resides presently.
