Fort Lauderdale, Fla (PRWEB) October 07, 2016
Uniform Advantage (UA), a leader in the healthcare apparel industry has begun their Paint Your Page Pink campaign to support breast cancer throughout the entirety of breast cancer awareness month. UA will donate $1 for every new UA Facebook page like and for every new UA Instagram(@uniformadvantage) follower during the month of October 2016. All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society (ACS) Making Strides organization.
In addition to the Paint Your Page Pink campaign, UA employees and their families will participate in their 8th year of the ACS Broward County Making Strides Walk. UA's Paint Your Page Pink campaign and partnership with ACS alongside of participating in the Making Strides walk has helped to raise more than $35,000 in the past eight years.
"UA is honored to participate in the Making Strides Walk," stated Susan Masimore, CEO of Uniform Advantage. "We share the belief that creating awareness around breast cancer is an extremely important step in early detection and finding a cure. We want to be a part of the goal to help people fight cancer so they can and enjoy life to its fullest."
The Making Strides Walk was started in 1984 by a cancer survivor, Margery Gould Rath. The then "move-along-a-thon" had 200 participants in Boston and became the Making Strides Walk which draws eight million walkers from 270 communities throughout the United States. All funds raised by UA will directly help and support the ACS Making Strides organization in their mission to fight and end breast cancer through early detection, accessible mammograms, and information and services for their patients.
