Leading Scientists on Neuroplasticity Present at Brain IDEAS Symposium, Aug. 5th


Denver, CO, June 17, 2016 --( The Invisible Disabilities® Association (IDA) is hosting their 2nd Annual Brain IDEAS Symposium. IDEAS stands for Invisible Disabilities® Education and Support. The symposium focuses on Brain Disorders, Brain Health, and Brain Therapy. Nine expert presenters will each deliver dynamic, twenty minute, science, and story-filled talks on relevant topics including Neuroplasticity, ADHD, ADD, Autism, Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Alzheimer's, Down Syndrome, Nutrition, Microbiome, Mental Training, Therapeutic Humor, Stroke, PTSD, EMDR and TBI. Each section concludes with an expert-led panel for questions and answers, allowing attendees to interact with the presenters.

The symposium's lunch program will honor three experts in Healthy Living, Research and Innovation. Daniel G. Amen, M.D. founder of the renowned Amen Clinics and New York Times Bestselling Author of Change Your Brain, Change Your Life will receive the 2016 Healthy Living Award for his extensive focus on Brain health. John B. Arden, Ph.D., Chief Academic Officer for the Institute of Brain Potential and Author of Rewire Your Brain: Think Your Way to a Better Life will receive the 2016 Research Award for his leadership in Brain Based Therapy. Bruce E. Wexler, M.D., Professor of Psychiatry at Yale Medical School and Founding Scientist at C8 Sciences, will receive the 2016 Innovation Award for his cutting edge work in developing computer-presented brain exercises to treat cognitive deficits in people with psychiatric illnesses.

Lunch entertainment will be provided by 10 Ten Billboard Recording Artist, Billy McLaughlin. Aaron LaPedis, gallery owner, TV and radio host and author of The Garage Sale Millionaire and A Boy Named L̶o̶g̶a̶n̶ Penguin & His Great Adventures will serve as the Master of Ceremonies for the day. A special pre-symposium VIP Meet & Greet will take place on August 4th featuring international Illusionist, David Lafflin.
