Denver, Colorado (PRWEB) May 27, 2016

Coldplay will embark on their stadium tour, A Head Full of Dreams, on July 16. This will be their first North American tour since 2012. The tour will begin with two performances at MetLife Stadium near New York City and will finish at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California on September 3.

The tour includes 22 U.S. dates. Singer-songwriter Alessia Cara will open for all of the shows on the tour, and Foxes will be an additional opener from July 16 to August 6.

Coldplay are touring to support their seventh album, A Head Full of Dreams. Their last release was 2014's Ghost Stories.

Coldplay's last three tours were successful, with over a million fans attending each. The band's Twisted Logic tour ran from 2005 to 2007, Viva La Vida from 2008 to 2010, and Mylo Xyloto from 2011 to 2012.

The band performed at the Super Bowl on February 7. In March, Coldplay lead singer Chris Martin appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. He and Fallon performed "Life on Mars?" by David Bowie. That same month, Coldplay performed five songs from their new album on Today.
