Foxwoods Resort Casino Reports March 2016 Slot Revenue

MASHANTUCKET, Conn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Foxwoods® Resort Casino has reported slot revenue of $37.5 million for the month of March 2016. This figure is down 7.3 percent compared to $40.4 million in March of 2015. Handle for the month was $455.3 million, down 10.3 percent from the $507.5 million wagered in the same month in 2015.

Foxwoods' contribution to the Connecticut Special Revenue Fund in March 2016 is $9.4 million, bringing the cumulative contribution to the state since Foxwoods opened in 1992 to over $3.8 billion.

The month was highlighted by the largest progressive table games jackpot in the history of Foxwoods Resort Casino, when a North Reading, Mass. resident scored $612,159.27 in winnings.

There was no shortage of laughter at Foxwoods in March as the property hosted an all-star lineup of comedians including Tracy Morgan, Bob Saget, Kathy Griffin, David Cross, Piff the Magic Dragon and Bob Marley. Guests were also treated to a once-in-a-lifetime night of storytelling from legendary screen star Sophia Loren. The entertainment hot streak continued with a rocking performance from notorious pop-punk band Fall Out Boy. R&B 90s Remix 3 with Blackstreet, Dru Hill and Jagged Edge rounded out the month's slate with a fun throwback performance.

The treats continued elsewhere on property as Foxwoods opened its brand new gourmet pastry shop, Cake by Franck. Led by the property's renowned Executive Pastry Chef Franck Iglesias, Cake by Franck continues to delight guests, offering classic New England and seasonal desserts with a twist.
