ATLANTA, Georgia (PRWEB) October 14, 2015
U.S. Security Associates (USA) is joining the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) in promoting crime prevention and safety this October. The NCPC has designated October as Crime Prevention Month, a time for spotlighting successful crime prevention practices and cultivating awareness of important issues. As a national security company, U.S. Security Associates supports NCPC's goals.
"We are focused on security and safety issues impacting our clients 365 days a year," says Alton Harvey, senior vice president of USA's national accounts division, "but during Crime Prevention Month, we focus on sharing crime prevention information and insights with a broader audience. We gladly support the National Crime Prevention Council's campaigns to ‘Take a Bite Out of Crime.'"
NCPC is focusing on a specific theme for each week in October. During Week 1, the focus is identity theft and how to protect your identity from being high-jacked by criminals. The topic for Week 2 is safe firearm storage and keeping firearms away from children, thieves, and others who may harm themselves or others. Week 3 explores principles for living safer and being smarter and is targeted to young adults, ages 18-24, who are getting their first taste of independence. The emphasis in Week 4 is on gangs and keeping kids out of them, protecting neighborhoods from gang infiltration, and working with neighbors and law enforcement to solve community gang problems.
U.S. Security Associates has provided security services for American schools, businesses, residential communities, and public spaces for decades. Over the years, the security company has developed a wealth of training material and learning resources for security officers, client employees, and any individuals who want to know more about how to protect themselves from crime. As a public service, during Crime Prevention Month, the company shares tips and practices anyone can use to stop crimes, save lives, and stay safe.
Throughout the month of October, U.S. Security Associates is posting crime prevention and safety resources on various social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter.
