The longtime alternative metal and grunge rocker had quite a run with Soundgarden over the course of the last 30 years, and he began creating albums as a soloist in 1999. Higher Truth is his fifth solo studio creation, and it is sure to make the Seattle, Washington native the focal point of the music world once again. The album is set to debut two days before the tour begins in early September.

The tour will kick off on September 20 in Los Angeles at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Cornell will traipse around Southern California for the next few days before heading up north for shows in Oakland and Modesto. A few Northwestern shows in the final days of September will be followed by a swing through the middle of the nation and a trip up into the Eastern Seaboard.

The final weeks of the tour will see Cornell bringing his live acoustic act through the South and into Texas, where he will finish the tour with a November 1 show at The Majestic Theater in Dallas and a November 2 show at Austin City Limits Live.
