Students, teachers, and the general population are experiencing the need and requirement for education in a drastically different way as current and emerging technologies are altering the way in which learning and training content is being delivered and received.

This is a result of the combination of open source technology, the internet, mobile and multi-faceted technology, virtual learning environments and learning analytic technology in the education sector and more so now with the readiness of people to learn on the go.

New innovation and complexities emerging in education as a result of the collaboration of these technologies are changing the landscape of education and will be pivotal in achieving the United Nation's Millennium Development Goal for Education, said Dr. Lawrence Wasserman, Vice President of Strategic Alliance at My Mobile University.

ILMU (Instilling Learning for Malaysian Unity) is local education initiative by LTT Global – founders My Mobile University, a global initiative to impact lives through education launched in 2013. ILMU currently has over 20 channels and thousands of courses, e-books and other digital content aimed towards all Malaysians who want to learn, re-skill or up-skill themselves.

The initial target population are students aged between 17-35 who now have access to higher education and yet want to have access to certified online degrees for better job opportunities and personal growth.
Institute of Professional Development, Open University Malaysia, as one of the project partners, will provide certification of completion for selected programs to address the need of workforce and to unleash their potential and to explore better opportunities upon completion of their program.

ILMU aspires, in subsequent phases of the project, to benefit other population groups, such disabled people, unprivileged children with poor access to schools, refugee asylum seekers children, single parents or unemployed youths looking to upgrade their skills, while encouraging a lifelong learning culture among Malaysians.

Moving forward, ILMU is calls for all Malaysians to help support with outreach and also to participate and collaborate with our team to collect as much as information and sources regarding Malaysian cultures and heritage.
