This three day event, to be held on September 10-12, 2014 at the Four Seasons Resort Marrakech, Morocco, will feature prominent senior executives and leaders from 45 nations, all joined by a common interest to drive economic development and understanding of the spa and wellness industry.  Delegates from diverse sectors, including hospitality, tourism, health and wellness, beauty, finance, medical, real estate, manufacturing and technology will be on hand to discuss recent industry developments and key trends in this nearly $2.0 trillion spa and wellness market.

Now in its eighth year and considered to be the leading global research and educational resource for the spa and wellness industry, this year's conference theme is "Fast Forward."  The conference will take a creative and strategic look at the future, exploring a range of topics from technology, design and brain science to retailing, marketing and investment trends to corporate wellness and wellness tourism.

Mr. Price will be one of the keynote presenters on Day 1 (September 10th), providing unique insights into how technology is and will continue to change retailing forever, and most important, how companies and marketers should prepare for the future.  In his presentation, Mr. Price will discuss the changing retail landscape and how technology has become not just a tool, but a necessity for companies, IT professionals and marketers alike, to drive in-store consumer engagements.  Mr. Price will also be leading a 45-minute workshop on Thursday, September 11th at 12:00 p.m. titled, Retailing in the Future: Next Steps Workshop, where attendees will share their views on the evolving retail marketplace and how best to utilize marketing technologies to engage consumers and influence purchasing decisions.

As Mr. Price notes, "The most important change marketers face today is the incredible transformation in consumer power due to technology.  It is transforming and will continue to transform the marketplace in parabolic ways."  According to Mr. Price, "The biggest difference between marketing in the 20th century and the 21st is the increasingly fluid manner in which brands and consumers are experiencing one another.  The catalyst for this dynamic new way of marketing is an unprecedented amount of new technologies converging to change almost everything.  Combinations of new communications, internet, display and computing technologies give marketers an unprecedented opportunity to deploy inspiring new consumer experiences."  During his presentation, Mr. Price will provide his views on leveraging technology to create the best marketing plan for retailers and venue operators, with an emphasis on driving sales, brand loyalty and creating 'experiences.'

He will be joined on Day 1 by other industry and government influencers, including Morocco's Minister of Tourism, Lahcen Haddad PhD; Magatte Wade, writer for The Guardian, Huffington Post and Barron's; and Donald Ardell PhD and Dr. John Travis, two of the founding fathers of the wellness industry, will provide their unique insights into the history of wellness in a moderated session led by Peter Greenberg, Travel Editor with CBS News.  Day 1 will also feature dedicated sessions on corporate wellness, destination spas, hotel spas, hot springs spas, hydrothermal, and spa education, whereby global leaders from these key sub-sectors will have the opportunity to strategize on how best to solve their biggest challenges and collaborate to expand opportunities.  To view other presenters and the full agenda for this well-regarded event, please visit www.gsws.org or you can access the full agenda by clicking on the following link: http://www.globalspaandwellnesssummit.org/images/stories/gsws2014/pdf/GSWS2014_Agenda_pt14_9214web.pdf.pagespeed.ce.oIctXTa4e5.pdf.
