WAUKEGAN, Ill. & LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Amplifying the unique player engagement that has made the WMS Gamefield xD cabinet one of the most successful commercial gaming product launches in recent industry history, WMS Gaming Inc., a subsidiary of WMS Industries Inc. WMS, will showcase two new, sure-to-become player favorite games for the revolutionary cabinet, at the 13th annual Global Gaming Expo (G2E), September 24-26, at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas (booth #1118). The new BEETLEJUICE and CLUE Gamefield xD games extend the exciting player gaming entertainment resulting from the un-paralleled experience available only on the Gamefield xD cabinet.

“The ground-breaking design of the Gamefield xD cabinet features a unique, expansive field of view from its two 32-inch LCD screens and spectacular high-definition graphics that provide industry-first, attention-grabbing visual perspectives and powerful new player entertainment experiences, which have resulted in the cabinet quickly proving to be one of the industry's strongest performing products,” said Larry Pacey, Executive Vice President, Global Products and Chief Innovation Officer of WMS. “As follow-up games to the very successful MONOPOLY™ and THE WIZARD OF OZ™ Gamefield xD games, these new player-appealing games offer the same exceptional levels of player interaction.”

Not only do the Gamefield xD cabinets stand out on the casino floor, the diversity of available games contributes to player appeal that stretches across a broad spectrum of casino patrons. With more than 1,500 units installed in casinos, the Gamefield xD gaming machines are generating play levels for casino operators “that often range on average at up to three or four times a casino's house average, as measured by ‘coin-in' wagering amounts,” according to Pacey.

“WMS combines imaginative game content, innovative cabinet design and advanced technologies to continually raise the bar on gaming entertainment,” added Pacey. “Through this focus, we create superior differentiated products that are designed to deliver high gaming entertainment value to players and as a result, long-lasting value for casino operators.”

Beetlejuice Game

The BEETLEJUICE game, expected to be available early in calendar 2014, combines the same comedy-horror-fantasy elements as the eponymous cult classic film and the film's popular music such as “The Banana Boat Song” (“Day-O”) and “Jump in the Line” (“Shake, Senora”) to create a uniquely entertaining WAP game. Featuring the movie's original creative “haunted house” characters, game play utilizes a large 6x9 reel array with super-sized symbols that offers players 80 lines of gaming action. Three unique BEETLEJUICE symbols trigger a wheel spin that can award players the opportunity to win one of four mini-bonus rounds. With multiple additional bonus rounds and award multipliers providing extra game entertainment and excitement for their original wager, players will also find that over-sized symbols in the base game result in a unique aspect for every reel spin.

Clue Game

Expanding the range of engaging WAP gaming experiences available on the Gamefield xD cabinet will be a new contemporary version of the classic detective game. The CLUE Gamefield xD game has been designed to optimize all of the benefits enabled by the cabinet's large field of vision with its stacked 5-reel array and combines the fun and challenge of the original “who done it in what room with what weapon” solve-the-crime mystery with clever gaming experiences such as a “ladder-like” bonus round that stacks the rooms vertically across the 32” top screen. The excitement builds as players randomly and correctly solve elements leading to the ultimate correct answer that triggers a big win. The fun continues as the game's characters “talk” to players during the action.

See what has quickly proved to be one of WMS' newest top performing platforms, the unique Gamefield xD gaming machine, the power of the CPU-NXT3 operating system and the BEETLEJUICE and CLUE games along with more than 100 other exciting participation and for-sale games that reflect WMS' commitment to consistently introduce “A Brand New Game™” on display at G2E 2013 (booth #1118).
