NEW YORK, Aug. 7, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Attorney Advertising -- Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC announces that a securities class action has been filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas on behalf of those who purchased shares of ATP Oil and Gas Corporation ("ATP or the Company ") ATPAQ during the period between December  16, 2010 through August 17, 2012 inclusive (the "Class Period").

The complaint charges the defendants with violation of federal securities laws.  Specifically the complaint alleges that the defendants materially misstated and/or failed to disclose that: (i) ATP severely downplayed the impact that the United States Department of Interior moratoria had on the Company's business and revenues; (ii) ATP violated the provisions of certain credit agreements to which the Company was a party; and (iii) misstated ATP's liquidity and financial position.
