The Grass Outlet has launched a sod grass estimator on its website to help customers in Dallas determine how much sod to purchase for their lawn.

The sod grass calculator, which has been named the Grasstimator, asks users to specify the shape of their lawn from six different options, which include square, triangle, circle, parallelogram, trapezoid and combination. Once they've chosen a shape for their lawn, users are able to enter the yard's dimensions, measuring each side of the lawn to give as exact a calculation as possible.

After the first two steps, the Dallas sod grass company's turfgrass calculator gives customers the option to choose one of the ten varieties of grass offered by The Grass Outlet. During this stage, users can read about each type of grass, which are all part of either the St. Augustine, Bermuda, Zoysia or Buffalo families, in order to determine which variety would work best for their climate and needs.

Once a user chooses a variety of grass, the calculator will determine a price quote for the requested variety and amount, and users can schedule a day to have the grass delivered to their lawn fresh from The Grass Outlet farms.
