Heritage Woods of Charleston to Host Breakfast for Seniors

Heritage Woods of Charleston, a BMA affordable assisted living community is Charleston, Illinois, is hosting a Breakfast for Seniors from 7 to 9 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12.

The community serves adults 65 and older of all incomes, including those on Medicaid, who need some help to maintain their independence.

"We invite seniors to take advantage of this special opportunity to enjoy a delicious breakfast and learn about the affordable assisted living lifestyle that is available at Heritage Woods," says Glenn Gentry, Administrator.

There is no charge for seniors to attend.

"Our community provides older adults with a wonderful alternative to a nursing home or to struggling alone at home," says Gentry.

Residents of Heritage Woods of Charleston live in private apartments and receive the personal assistance and help with medications they need.

Each of the apartments features a kitchenette, spacious bathroom with shower and grab bars, and an emergency alert system.

Certified nursing assistants are on-duty 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are among the included servcies.

"Our focus is on providing love, compassion and dignty in addition to care and assistance," says Gentry. "Our emphasis is on help each resident to achieve and maintain as much independence as possible for as long as possible."

Heritage Woods of Charleston is fully certified to operate through the Illinois Supportive Living program and is managed by BMA Management, Ltd., the largest provider of assisted living in Illinois.
