Jennifer Pitts Adair has announced the release of her book "Sheltered By God: A Year in the Life of an April 27, 2011 Tornado Survivor" detailing the first year of her life after surviving an EF5 that killed 70 people over a 132 mile path across Northern Alabama and Southern Tennessee. Through her book Adair gives a rarely seen view of life on the inside of a natural disaster.
Adair tells the miraculous story of her survival, the pain of starting over, thoughts on her faith, and the nightmares that still haunt her. Along the way she shares the heartache of repairing the home she and her husband moved to after the April tornado, when it was hit by an EF3 on March 2, 2012, and the trauma of a difficult childbirth while they were living with relatives during the repairs.
