After the announcement of a proposed bicycle path in Adams County Pennsylvania, Linus Bike offers support for the planned “Gettysburg Inner Loop.”
Bohemia, N.Y. (PRWEB) January 05, 2013
On January 5, Linus Bike representative Jason Latty offers support in response to an article published by WITF which details a proposed bicycle path merger, by Healthy Adams Bicycle Pedestrian Inc.
According to WITF, the proposed bicycle path, which would connect two popular tourist attractions, marks the first of a network of several pathways designed for cyclists.
WITF reports that, “Healthy Adams Bicycle Pedestrian Inc.'s ‘Gettysburg Inner Loop' path would run from the Civil War battlefield south of the borough to the train station where President Abraham Lincoln arrived before delivering his ‘Gettysburg Address.'”
Project coordinator Tom Jolin commented to WITF that the planning on the greenway is expected to be complete in April 2013. In addition, Jolin offers his gratitude to groups like Gettysburg College, Gettysburg Hospital and the borough for all of their support.
“We have just absolutely wonderful support from within the borough,” Jolin states in the article. “We have 23 letters of support from various organizations from within the county, and especially Gettysburg. That shows a lot of community support and advocacy for a bicycling system.”
Linus Bike is enthusiastic about the upcoming project and offers their support in its creation.
“As the cycling community grows, so do the pathways in which to ride,” comments Jason Latty, a Linus Bike Sales Representative. “Improving the road ways to ensure safety for cyclists is just the beginning of something great. Linus Bike hopes that the Gettysburg Inner Loop grows and brings cyclists from all over to appreciate the beautiful countryside of our American history.”
