Advanced Migraine Patient Ambassador's will share their wedding experience as migraine sufferers before and after a migraine relief neurostimulation procedure that helped them have the wedding day and honeymoon they always dreamed of.

Houston, TX (PRWEB) January 05, 2013

Advanced Migraine Relief and Treatment Center, LLC, a leader in migraine nuerostimulation therapy, will be at the 28th Bi-Annual Bridal Extravaganza in Houston, January 5-6, at the George R. Brown Convention Center. Advanced Migraine will be offering brides-to-be that suffer from chronic migraines the opportunity to meet patient ambassadors and learn about the Transforma Procedure℠, a 4 lead neurostimulation therapy to control migraines. Special guests at the Advanced Migraine booth # 901 include recent bride and former migraine sufferer Jenny Bruner and mother of the bride and former migraineur Melissa Lorello and her daughter Chelsea.

Jenny Bruner suffered from debilitating chronic migraines for 5 years. When she became engaged, Jenny worried if she would wake up on her wedding day with a migraine too severe to attend her big day. In August 2012, she had the Transforma Procedure and made it to the alter on December 7th and through her honeymoon without a migraine attack.

Melissa Lorello suffers from hemiplegic migraine. Her migraines have stroke-like symptoms including a drooping eye and mouth with slurred speech. “When my daughter announced her engagement, my first thought was that I would probably have a migraine on her wedding day and be unable to attend,” said Melissa. In September 2012 she had the Transforma Procedure and is actively involved in planning Chelsea's wedding with every expectation of seeing her daughter walk down the aisle.

The Transforma Procedure, based on 4 lead Combined Occipital and SupraOrbital Neurostimulation, is a new breakthrough migraine pain relief procedure that significantly reduces the severity and frequency of headaches in patients suffering from debilitating chronic migraines. Combined Occipital and Supra Orbital Neurostimulation delivers a small mild electrical signal over the occipital and supraorbital nerves through an implanted device with tiny soft wire leads. The device transfers a customized electrical pattern and can be self-adjusted via remote control. To evaluate whether or not the device will work for a patient, temporary leads are externally placed for 3 – 5 days. If the trial is successful, permanent leads are then implanted a few weeks later, followed by a short recuperation period.

  •     Nearly 36,000 people suffer from chronic migraines in the United States.
  •     More women than men suffer from migraines.
  •     The exact cause of migraines is unknown, although it is generally considered that nerve pathways and neurotransmitters are involved.

Advanced Migraine will be located at booth # 901 and will also be sponsoring the first aid station at the Bridal Extravaganza. Advanced Migraine will be hosting a seminar on January 10, 2013 at 7 p.m. at University General Hospital. Please visit ChronicMigraineHelp.com to register or call 832-532-3344.
