Investigators from London Private Investigators respond to a recent Mail Online report by John Stevens dated 18th Dec 2012: Thieves steal Christmas presents wrapped for children in Intensive care at Great Ormond Street Hospital by announcing covert CCTV services

(PRWEB UK) 5 January 2013

According to a recent report by Mail Online thieves have stolen Christmas gifts intended for very sick children who will need to stay in Great Ormond Street Hospital Intensive care over the Christmas period. The report states that the gifts including portable DVD players, DVS's and games consoles were kept in a cupboard in a part of the hospital where the general public did not have access to. The gifts, bought by the hospital charity, were taken some time during the week between Monday and Friday.

Met Police Commissioner Bernard Hogan-Howe, who was speaking on the London radio station LBC said:

“They are ideal gifts for children who are very ill; watching a DVD player of using a games console could give pleasure.”

Good willed Apprentice star Lord Sugar has said his company would pay for new presents for the children and Curry's and Blockbuster also promised to replace stolen gifts. The Metropolitan Police Service is appealing for any eyewitnesses to come forward.

London Private Investigators are a private detective company who specialise in installation of Covert CCTV systems and a spokesperson from the company said:

“This is a dreadful and indecent crime against the children, their parents and the hospital. If the hospital had CCTV cameras in areas such as the area the presents where kept it may have at least deterred the culprit or they would have shown up on the footage.”
