One of the biggest and longest-running technology trade shows is scheduled to open next week. According to a report from foxnews.com, Consumer Electronics Show 2013 is set to awe “techies” on January 08-11 in Las Vegas. As stated in the report, the event remains as one of the biggest platforms for technology companies to show off their latest gadgets and devices. However, it related that giant technology companies as Microsoft, Google, Apple and Amazon aren't going to be a part of this year's CES. Nonetheless, it said that there would still be around 20,000 products to be presented in the exhibit.

Among other things, it pointed out the rise of small tech companies. Apart from that, it also said to expect the emergence of smart TVs and internet-connected appliances.
