SonicsOnline.com, a Virginia-based equipment distributor, has announced the availability of two new ultrasonic cleaners from Branson Ultrasonics®. Pricing for all new models will be similar to that of “old technology models” sold by other manufacturers, and all units will be available as of February 2013.
The digital models now sold by SonicsOnline.com include the Bransonic® CPX Ultrasonic Baths and the CPXH heated versions. Standout features for the digital units include power tracking, which allows the cleaning tank to automatically adjust to keep the power levels constant, regardless of the load size. User can therefore put more parts in the tank during the cleaning process. Power adjustment, from 100% to 70% in the case of more delicate parts, is also offered via high/low power controls on the digital baths.
Versions with heat are programmable so temperature set points and run times can be adjusted based on application needs. A digital model suitable for laboratory applications employing ultrasonics without heat still offers the benefit from digital control and power management. These ultrasonic cleaners all feature a sweep frequency that creates consistent cavitations. A 99-minute timer allows for continuous operation.

Manual models from Branson Ultrasonics, consisting of the M Series and MH Series heated ultrasonic cleaners, feature a 60-minute mechanical timer and supports continuous operation. Like the digital versions, consistent cavitations are generated throughout the tank during cleaning. Once set, the manual cleaners run through the cycle without any operator intervention.
Both the digital and manual ultrasonic cleaners are available in five sizes. This includes tank capacities of 0.5, 0.75, 1.5, 2.5, and 5.5 gallons. Models with tank sizes of 6 x 5.5 x 4, 9.5 x 5.5 x 4, 11.5 x 6 x 6, 11.5 x 9.5 x 6, and 19.5 x 11.5 x 6 inches are offered with weights of 7, 9, 12, 14, and 26 pounds respectively. All cleaners operate at a frequency of 40 kHz, while models with or without drains are available.
In addition to digital and manual ultrasonic cleaners, SonicsOnline.com also offers a range of accessories to go along with the new line of cleaners. Covers, perforated trays, mesh baskets, solid insert trays, beaker positioning covers, and support racks are sold separately. These additions are available in configurations specific to the machine model.
