On January 3rd, 2013, the medical practice of Harold Rodgers, M.D. will merge with the California Skin Institute, Northern California's largest private dermatology practice. The San Jose/Santa Clara- based practice will become the ninth location of the California Skin Institute, and the second location serving San Jose, Santa Clara, and the surrounding areas.
Anjali Morales M.D., PhD, and Amena Deluca, M.D. will work initially alongside Dr. Rodgers and then will transition to full time patient care as Dr. Rodgers reduces his clinic time. The office will remain open and welcoming of shared patients, as well as new patients. Despite the changes in personnel, Dr. Rodgers and the California Skin Institute will maintain the excellence that Dr. Rodgers practice has always embodied. “I am confident that this office will continue to see your patients promptly, care for them with individual attention and excellence, offer new and effective state-of-the art treatments, and communicate the treatment plan by phone call or letter to referring doctors in a timely manner,” Dr. Rodgers assured in a letter announcing the merger with California Skin Institute.

California Skin Institute practitioners treat the entire range of skin, hair, and nail diseases. In addition to routine surgical and cosmetic dermatology services, California Skin Institute will now offer in this new location:
Excimer laser for scalp and body psoriasis and vitiligo
Miradry for excessive sweating
Photodynamic therapy for actinic keratoses
Pinpointe nail laser for FDA-approved clearance of nail fungus
Coolsculpting for non-surgical removal of unwanted fat
Ultherapy for ultrasound assisted non-surgical face, neck, and brow lifts
SmartLipo laser-assisted liposuction technique that facilitates skin tightening
Cellulaze laser for the reduction of unwanted cellulite
Face, eyelid, and neck cosmetic surgery
CSI's Department of Pathology will provide rapid interpretation of all biopsy specimen and ensure accurate diagnoses with comprehensive in-house immunoperoxidase stains
The office will continue to accept all major PPO plans and Medicare.
