Dr. Ansohn joined First Choice Emergency Room in 2011. He has practiced emergency medicine for over 17 years, initially practicing full-time at Baylor Regional Medical Center, Grapevine. Dr. Ansohn has provided EMS direction and oversight to 24 cities in the DFW area since 1988 and has served on both the North Central Texas Trauma Regional Advisory Council and the Governor's EMS Trauma Advisory Council. Dr. Ansohn was named the “Health Hero of the Year” in 2003 by the Forth Worth Business Press and received the “EMS Medical Director of the Year” award in 2005 from the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Dr. Ansohn graduated Cum Laude from the University of North Texas Health Science Center with a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. He completed a rotating internship at the Northeast Community Hospital in Bedford, Texas and practiced as a family physician from 1986-1997 in Southlake, Texas.
Dr. Ansohn served as an active duty and reserve Medical Corp Office in the U.S. Army and retired after 26 years with the rank of Colonel.
